Sunday morning

A beautiful view out my window, a strong coffee and a good mag to flick through – the perfect start to a lazy Sunday.

Weekend break

This weekend we embarked on a last minute mini break to my parent’s home in Salisbury. It was lovely to relax at home and take some time out. Living in a flat it sometimes feels as if summer is passing us by; it was wonderful to just be able to pop in and out of the garden all weekend and enjoy the wonderful weather and outdoors. BBQs, boules, table tennis and stacks of magazines made for a perfect break.

Sunny morning

I know I seem to take the same photos quite a lot so apologies if my blogs are a little repetitive. I just can’t let a beautiful morning go unsnapped! Today it’s raining, but here are some photos of my walk to work on Wednesday.

Start of the weekend

One of our favourite ways to start the weekend is to head to either The Garricks Head or The King William for an after work drink followed by a relaxed dinner in the bar. Last night we headed to The King William on London Road. I had mussels in a cider sauce with triple cooked chips, and Jon had the excellent Cornish brill – both washed down with a glass of white and bubbly Prosecco.

Homemade Guac

A light dinner of guacamole and toasted pittas. As always, I went a little overboard with the garlic. I make mine with avocado, red onion, crushed garlic, lime and seasoning.

St Ives

We’re just back from a whirlwind visit to St Ives. It was very wet and blustery, so much so our tent almost blew down in the night on top of us – I can not wait to get into bed tonight, luxury!
