Hazy Morning

It’s such amazing weather. I especially love it in the morning and evening when all the buildings glow in the hazy sunshine. Here are a few photographs of my walk to work this morning. The water in the fountain was turned on for summer last week, noone’s put fairy liquid in it yet!

Lahmacun

After seeing Rick Stein’s Lahmacun recipe on Saturday Kitchen we thought we’ give it a go. It’s essentially flatbreads with a topping of minced lamb, peppers, onions and parsley, best eaten rolled up and with your hands.  We filled ours with rocket and homemade tzatziki. They were very tasty but I was expecting a punchier more moroccan flavour. We’ll make them again but I think I’ll adapt the recipe a little and pack it with more flavour.

A sisterly weekend

This weekend my sister came to stay. We ambled around Bath on Saturday to 1) enjoy the beautiful scenery and 2) to raid the shops.  We spent too much and probably ate too much but sometimes you’ve just gotta throw caution to the wind.

Jamie’s

Last night a friend and I headed to Jamie’s for bite to eat and a few glasses of prosecco. I had crab bruschetta to start, followed by half moon pumpkin pasta and ice cream for dessert. All very tasty and still more to try on the menu so no doubt the two of us will be back very soon!
